Zoë’s First Year Preamble to Life
What makes Zoe Zoë
• Attentive. She loves to watch everyone and everything around her
• Indomitable. Maybe even more than the snowman or even her brother.
• Happy/mad. A smiley face one minute and a red screaming face the next, all determined by which mood will get her what she wants.
• Affectionate. When carried, Zoe loves to rest her head on a shoulder and be close to her loved ones.

Zoë’s Favorites
• Eating! None of that baby stuff either. She is developing a real palate for all kinds of food, but mostly prefers meat
• Being entertained by her dancing and singing big brother, Rockett
• Dancing & bouncing her head in her highchair to show her appreciation of a full stomach or music with a good beat
• Hearing the roar of the garage door opening and closing.
• Supporting the arts— Zoë is the youngest member of the Arts Action Fund. She has attended the Opening Nights of the Murakami show at MOCA, the first Giant Robot Biennial at JANM, and Viva Lowrider at the Petersen Automotive Museum and several Hollywood Bowl concerts including performances by Café Tacuba; Groove Armada, Macy Gray and Zap Mama
• Snuggling—with her favorite giraffe & elephant blankets
• Receiving hugs & head-buts from Rockett
• Shredding tissue and chewing stickers

Zoë’s Rules of Life:
• Why hold your own bottle when someone else will hold it for you?
• When the cheerios hit the tray grab as many as you can in both hands because you never know when your brother or quila will come and steal them away.
• Real girls sweat, they don’t perspire.
• Don’t take ANYTHING from me, or ELSE!
